About Qurbah Foundation

Qurbah is a dedicated digital platform — the first of its kind in the world — organising proxy Hajj and Umrah and making the service safe, trustworthy and fully documented in line with Islamic rulings.

Why the name Qurbah?

In Arabic and in fiqh, a qurbah is any act performed to draw nearer to God. Proxy Hajj is itself a qurbah — an act of worship carried out on behalf of someone who died before fulfilling it or is permanently unable to, bringing them the fulfilment they had hoped for, and bringing the proxy who stands in for them the reward of obedience and service. That is where the name comes from: a platform that brings the pilgrimage within reach of those who cannot reach it themselves.

How Qurbah works

Seven clear steps, from the Islamic eligibility check to the certificate of completion

    Verify the conditions for delegation

    We confirm the person being represented meets the Islamic conditions for a valid proxy Hajj.

  2. Step 2

    Register with Qurbah

    Anyone seeking proxy Hajj for themselves, for a deceased person or for another registers with the foundation.

  3. Step 3

    Pay the service fee

    By credit card, bank transfer, or through our branches and authorised agents.

  4. Step 4

    Booking confirmed by Qurbah

    Confirmation is issued within one week at most, allowing time for the transfer to clear.

  5. Step 5

    Choose your proxy pilgrim

    Pick from a list carrying each proxy's full profile, biography and endorsements.

  6. Step 6

    Follow the proxy pilgrim in real time

    Direct voice and video contact throughout the rites, with everything documented and stored in the app.

  7. Step 7

    Receive the certificate of completion

    The "Proof of Completion of Proxy Hajj" certificate reaches you with its supporting documents.

Organisation and oversight

The Hajj office accredited by Qurbah and the competent authorities manages the Qurbah proxy group's performance of the rites through official channels, alongside a supervisory committee that oversees performance and documents each stage of the pilgrimage.

Operating notes

  • Proxy pilgrim profiles are added to the app by the administration after vetting and endorsement.
  • The details of selected proxy pilgrims are passed to the Qurbah proxy-group administration.
  • The accredited Hajj office runs the group's performance of the rites entirely through official channels.
  • A supervisory committee oversees performance and documents each stage for the proxy group.
